ResumeGrabber Pro imports resumes from search engines (like Google), Job boards, email attachments, etc and transfers them into your existing database. An intermediate process allows you to screen the imported resumes, using keywords, before transfer.
Pros: Resume Grabber Pro is meant for help of recruiters to shortlist resumes obtained from searches of the internet, job sites and other sources. For the follow up process of creating a database of the candidates for the profile required and getting their contact details, this application helps too.
Resumes from files, e-mails, folders or search results are presented to the application. A grid is created which include qualifications data and skills data of candidates so that short listing can be done easily. Once short-listing is complete the resumes can be transferred to a database and contact details exported to a contact manager of choice. ACT!, Goldmine are the examples of contact managers supported by the program. MS Outlook and Excel also are supported. The CSV format of exporting data can interface with plenty of other programs too. For the follow up activities such as contacting short listed candidates for anything, it is easy to send out mail merged mails, that look very personalized.
The user interface is very simple and easy to use. There’s a floating tool bar that can be placed anywhere on the desktop for convenience. The grid, listing of resumes for initial screening etc are managed through the interface whose controls and menus are fairly intuitive and easy to understand as well as easy to learn. One could use custom keywords on the grid to sort and search for prospective candidates. The grid itself lets the user view not only qualifications and skill set but years of experience, location etc too.
Cons: Nothing looked problematic in particular.
Overall, this easy to use and learn package certainly rates a 4 star rating.
